Google doesn't like me any more6 comments

Don't know what happened, but I suddenly realized my site here has disappeared without a trace from Google. Last month it had many hundreds of pages indexed and more than 5000 visitors came through Google. This month, zilch, zippo, nothing. There obviously must be something they've decided I've done wrong, but I can't guess what it is. Did I exchange links with somebody I shouldn't have? Anybody who can see anything obvious I'm missing?

Just a few months ago there were maybe 5 mentions in Google of the word "sexoteric". Since I made this site, there are now 15,000, which all are references to this site. But they now pretend there are zero links, and that they've never heard of sexoteric.com. No links, no pages, no nothing. What did I do?

Wow I also did the 'link search' in Advanced Search and there is nothing there. What happens if you resubmit the link? and are you in Yahoo?

Yeah, Yahoo has around 14,000 entries. But zero for Google. That's a first for me. Google has always been my friend, and brought me lots of traffic on different sites. I resubmitted it, and also wrote to them. Just got an automatic answer back at first, but hope I might reach a real person.

I've had a fair number of visitors recently, so I didn't even notice before a month after it happened. Mostly because I was wondering why my Google PageRank no longer was showing up with the browser plugin that's supposed to show it. And I suddenly remembered I hadn't seen anybody come from Google for a while. And, alas, that's when I discovered that I no longer exist.

Well, hopefully it will fix itself. Or I might discover what, if anything, I might have done wrong. I thought it maybe would be some top-list with questionable practices, but I checked the one's I'm in, and they're all themselves listed in Google, so they can't have anything against them.

I tried searching Google (when your site disappears...): [link]

I'd also search for "Google Dance" (in quotes

Ah, good suggestions. Seems like there's a lot to know. Not that I'm wiser yet about what my particular problem is. But I'll keep trying different things. Like, I just changed my links from recent referrers to be "nofollow", so I don't accidentally link to some referral spammer.

mmm... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like bad news. You might get back in, keep emailing them. ask them what was wrong. then email back afterr you fix whatever they say. my site (realestate) site was dropped, a few years ago ... (here it is) IT TOOK me 2 years to get back in. I had many threads running with google, on forums, etc, with the google techs, they didnt even know why the site was not respidered. till then one beautiful day, (just after I gave up hope copmpletely) bang, the site was back, and straight back the the position (at the top) that it was at when it got dumped. .. go figure, but just keep trying.

I guess I had some luck. After a couple of tries they actually answered my message. Very brief, just saying they'd pass it on to "engineering" to check out my site. And now, since a couple of days, the site is appearing again. No explanation on what happened. But at least it is back.
