And it wasn't particularly because the readers are that old too. 46% placed the age between 40 and 50 as the optimum age for a man, sexually speaking. OK, younger men are certainly likely to be more virile, more untiring, having better muscles, more hair, etc. But older men are experienced, patient, and pay better attention to their partners. They've probably learned to listen, and be sensitive to where women are at. They're also likely to have fewer hangups, and be more likely to experiment, and to play around in kinky ways. As they've had time to discover their own kinks, get over their own hangups, and they've already tried a bunch of things before. Additionally they've probably also learned to not worry much about perfect looks, so they're more accepting of both themselves and the women they're with. The size and bouncyness of a woman's boobs is no longer the most important factor. Anyway, that's what this article says. It is in Danish, so I just summarized it here.
