This is a Balinese carving in teak that was used as a tabletop holder. It created some controversy a while back in San Francisco as an antiques shop owner placed it in his shop window. At first he had covered it up so that nobody would get offended, but he changed his mind, as it is a work of art, after all. Somebody filed a complaint, the police asked him to cover it up, but were unable to come up with any law he might have violated. There's no law against statues with 8 inch penises. Story here

I beleive that he did the right thing. There is nothing wrong with a work of art. If he has to cover up this wonderful carving. Then what do the museums have to do. For if you look at ancient Greek.Or the the roman art work. That is art work. The only reason people are picking on this piece of art work is because it a choice of taste. Every one has the right to opinion. But every has also the right to listen to other people's opinions. So I'm agreeing with him. You have the right to decided.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the statue... other than the fact that it probably makes men feel inadequate. After all, how many men *really* have 8 inch penises? I mean real size, not internet size, after all
